from October 18 to November 6, 2005.
This is the grave.
Trees and graves are standing together.
I have never seen this kind of the grave.
I think that it is a sign of Swedish style which nature and human are living together.
I want to go there finally.
日本では船橋に続いて神奈川にもIKEAができたそうです。
物価の高いスウェーデンで、とても価格が安いと感じられるのがこのIKEAとH&M。
ともにスウェーデン生まれの企業。
IKEAは主に家具などの住まいに関するプロダクトを提供している会社、
H&Mはカジュアルウエアを提供する会社。
不勉強な学生時代に、ドイツの昔のデザイン学校バウハウスの
"贅沢品ではなくて、大衆にデザインを"といった類いの理念を聞いて
なるほど、デザイナーの使命はそこにあるのかと頷いたことがあった。
人が生活していく中で必要な、衣食住の環境。
スウェーデンの代表的な企業が、"衣"(H&M)、"住"(IKEA)のまさに大衆に向けた
グッドデザインを担っているのが興味深い。
いわば、底辺のデザイン文化がH&MとIKEAなんだよなー、すごいなと。
そういう意味では、日本の"無印良品"も負けてはいませんが。

アーティストの友人が、スウェーデンに訪れたときの印象を
「デザイナーズシティだけど、アートが足りない」ってあっさり言ってた。
なるほど、彼は言葉少ないけれどいつも的確だ。
何を買っても25%の税金がつくけれど、政府が国民の生活を保証している。
そのコントールがよく行き届いてるのか、
みんな自分の生活に満足していて、気持ちにゆとりがある。
だから他人にも優しい。
イライラしてたり、落ち込んでる人がすごく少ないように見える。
ストックホルムほどの都会で、ホームレスや物乞いをほとんど見かけない。
アートって、往々にして負のパワーによって生まれたりするでしょう。
そんな負のパワーは生まれにくいんだろうなぁ。
例えば、グラフティをほとんどみかけない。
交通標識の写真をアップしたけれど、なんて上品な落書きかしらって思った。
グラフティに詳しい友人が言ってた。
その辺に捨ててあるスプレー缶を拾って、深夜に絵を描くのが基本って。
それって、人種差別や所得格差など、なんらかの不満が原動力で
それが表現に至ってるってことだと思う。
確かにアートは足りないけど、健全な生活に満足していて、
それを大切にしている気持ちの豊かな人たちがいるからこそ、
生活に身近なグッドデザインが生まれ、維持されているのだろう。
